Membertou Geomatics Solutions has their main office located in Cogswell Tower, Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Already with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Cape Breton University, Jason also pursued his interests in computers and graduated with Honors as a Computer Programmer Analyst from the Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS) in 2001. After a year of programming with a Halifax IT company, Jason joined Membertou in 2002 to take advantage an Membertou initiative of a GIS training program from which Membertou Geomatics Consultants (MGC) evolved and later became Membertou Geomatics Solutions (MGS) of today.

In addition to his interests in computers and computer programming Jason enjoys spending time with his family camping, playing and coaching sports or getting outdoors to do some geocaching. Jason is also enjoys reading science fiction, computer gaming and following team sports.

Craig attended Carleton University as part of the Economics program in 2000 and in 2002. Craig also joined Membertou in 2002 to take advantage of the Membertou GIS training program. Craig has been with Membertou Geomatics Solutions throughout the company’s evolution and has been trained in LiDAR and has become the principal GIS cartographer for MGS.

Craig enjoys keeping abreast of new computer applications, hockey and as well as computer gaming when he not busy taking care of his young family.

Dave Moore

Dave became part of the Membertou Geomatics Solutions team in 2003 to participate in field survey of environmental and health and safety issues on crown lands within Cape Breton Island. Dave has construction training obtained from Holland College in 1982 and spent the next 15 years in marine related and civil/architectural CAD occupations with both private and crown companies. Dave graduated with a Bachelor of Design, Environmental Planning with Honours in 2000 from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and later from Queens University with his Master of Urban and Regional Planning in 2007 while continuing his work with MGS. In addition to planning GIS projects and systems, Dave is the principal historic researcher for Traditional Ecological Knowledge Studies (TEKS).

Dave enjoys collecting various items as a hobby and walking/hiking in his free time. In addition to computer/video gaming, Dave also follows Formula 1 auto racing.

Aaron Landry GIS programmer

Aaron was recruited by MGS from the Geomatics Programing Advanced Diploma from the Centre of Geographic Sciences (COGS) in 2008. Prior to COGS, Aaron had graduated from Dalhousie University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Computer Science Degree. Aaron is the principal programmer for MGS and has since been responsible for expanding the company’s service offerings of Web-GIS and Project Management solutions.

Aaron enjoys following football, hockey and baseball and is a competitive board games player for both prizes and fun when not banging on his drums.
